1 South African Star Ruby grapefruit, halved
2 tsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. brown sugar
Place grapefruit in small baking dish or cookie sheet.
Mix both sugars and press into grapefruit halves so
the juice mixes in to dissolve the sugar.
Place in a 425 degree oven and cook for 6 - 8 minutes before switching to broil.
When the sugars caramelize and start to form a thin, crisp crust (about 5 minutes), remove from oven.
Place on a serving platter and serve with dark chocolate chunks,
vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate shavings, a dark chocolate brownie
or a snifter of premium rum.
