How to Select
Select oranges that are firm and heavy with a smooth skin. The color of the skin does not indicate ripeness. Oranges are picked only when ripe and will not ripen further once picked. Oranges with skin blemishes or other minor flaws on the skin does not affect the eating quality of the fruit.
How to Store
Always keep oranges in a cool area that's well ventilated. Oranges will last much longer under refrigeration. Store oranges in the refrigerator away from vegetables for up to two weeks. They can be stored at cool room temperature for one to two days.
