Minneolas

A Minneola is a cross between a grapefruit and tangerine. They are bright reddish-orange with a smooth, fine texture. Unique taste with a delicious distinctive flavor. Ideal to eat as a snack or use in salads, as a garnish or as an ingredient in a main or side dish.

How to Select

Select a Minneola that is round, firm and heavy in size. The skin should be smooth with a deep reddish orange color.  Skin blemishes or other minor flaws on the skin does not affect the eating quality of the fruit. Minneolas do not continue to ripen once they are harvested.

How to Store

Minneolas will last much longer under refrigeration. Store in the refrigerator, away from vegetables for up to two weeks.  They can be stored at a cool room temperature for four to five days.
