How to Select
Select Cara Cara Oranges that are firm and heavy with a smooth skin. The heavier it is the juicier the orange. The exterior skin should be deep orange in color. Markings on the skin known as "wind scarring" do not affect the eating quality of the fruit. Citrus does not continue to ripen once they are harvested.
How to Store
Cara Cara Oranges will last much longer under refrigeration. Store in the refrigerator, away from vegetables for up to two weeks. They can be stored at a cool room temperature for one to two days.
